The peer review process, criteria for selecting reviewers, deadlines, documentation procedures and decision-making

All manuscripts submitted to the journal ‘DICTUM FACTUM’ are reviewed by the editorial board for compliance with the journal’s editorial requirements and ethical principles. Articles that meet the basic requirements are subject to peer review.

Peer review is conducted confidentially according to the principles of double-blind review (i.e., neither the author nor the reviewer knows each other’s identity). Reviews are carried out by specialists in the relevant field who hold academic degrees and have professional experience.

All materials are evaluated based on the following criteria: relevance of the topic; high theoretical level; reliability, originality, and scientific validity of the research results; methodological and linguistic quality; compliance with the editorial policy and ethical principles of the journal, as well as manuscript requirements.

After reviewing the materials, the reviewer may make one of the following decisions:

  1. accept for publication in the author’s version;
  2. accept for publication with comments (if the article requires revision; the author may resubmit a revised manuscript);
  3. reject the manuscript (if it does not comply with the editorial policy, ethical principles of the journal, or manuscript requirements).

The review period is 2–3 weeks.

Authors are notified of the review results via email. All decisions are documented and stored in the editorial archive database.

Each issue of the scientific journal ‘DICTUM FACTUM’ is recommended for publication by the Academic Council of the National Transport University.

The editorial board is not responsible for the professional, substantive, or methodological accuracy of the published materials, nor for the correctness of references to online resources and literature cited in the article.

If the submitted materials comply with the aims, objectives, and editorial policy of the journal, the editorial board publishes the articles, as a rule, in the author’s version.
