The article presents current aspects of preventing international crime in human organ trafficking based on the analysis of documents, publications in scientific periodicals, monographic studies, and author's studies.
The current state, trends, and some determinants of international crime in human organ trafficking are studied, the features of the mechanism for committing such crimes, and the role of international criminal organizations. The ways of further development of international cooperation in the field of combating crime in the field of transplantation of human organs or tissues, especially transnational organized crime and trafficking in human organs, are considered.
Conclusions are drawn about the current reasons for the increase in the activity of international criminal organizations in the illegal removal of donor organs.
