The article examines the current problem of the impact of modern digital technologies on criminal behavior among minors. The emphasis is on the fact that the rapid development of information and communication technologies not only opens up new opportunities for the development of society, but also creates serious risks in the context of security. In particular, it is emphasized that young people, as the most active group of users of the digital environment, often not only become victims of cybercrimes, but are also directly involved in their commission. The focus of the study is on such forms of digital crime as cyberbullying, online fraud, and the distribution of prohibited content, which have potentially negative consequences for the mental health and socialization of minors.
Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the causes of criminal activity of minors in the online space. It was found that a high level of digital competence, technical literacy, as well as a reduced level of legal awareness and responsibility contribute to the fact that minors are increasingly appearing among offenders in the field of cybercrime. The article highlights key technological and social factors contributing to the growth of these negative trends, including insufficient state control, the difficulty of identifying anonymous users, and the need to improve the technical training of law enforcement agencies. The authors propose a number of comprehensive measures aimed at overcoming these challenges, in particular through the development of digital education, the integration of cyberethics modules into curricula, the creation of alternative channels for the implementation of technical skills of young people, educational work, and the improvement of legislative norms. The conclusion is made about the need for intersectoral cooperation — the state, educational institutions, parents, and digital platforms — to form a safe and ethical digital environment. The importance of resocialization of young offenders and the formation of a responsible attitude towards digital technologies as the basis for the prevention of cybercrime among minors is revealed.
