CURRENT ASPECTS OF PREVENTING LATENT CRIME

Abstract

The scientific work considers relevant aspects of latent crime prevention, which, although well researched, always require a more detailed analysis due to the constant development of technologies and the emergence of new criminal offenses.

The work analyzes the place of latent crimes in the general structure of crime, which allows us to understand the scale and consequences of these hidden crimes for society. The concept of latent crime, its main types, as well as isolated causes and factors contributing to its emergence and existence are defined.

The main focus of the work is on the theoretical research of the existing legislative and organizational mechanisms aimed at detection and registration latent crimes, in particular the analysis of their effectiveness and shortcomings in modern conditions. And on the basis of the conducted research, a number of measures are proposed to prevent latent crime, which can be attributed to all types of crime.

This work is aimed at increasing understanding and awareness of the role of latent crime in the law and order system, which is the basis for the development of effective preventive measures at the state level.
