The article presents the results of the analysis of the main legal acts regulating physical therapy, comprehensive and social rehabilitation of military personnel in Ukraine at the present stage. It is shown that the rehabilitation sector in Ukraine is in the process of active development and that the necessary legislative changes are being made to ensure its adequate legal support in accordance with the socio-political situation. In general, rehabilitation facilities (departments) of various subordination and ownership provide rehabilitation assistance to military servants.
The author reveals that rehabilitation institutions can be distinguished by the type of rehabilitation provided therein: in the healthcare sector (carried out by means of physical and rehabilitation medicine, physical therapy), sports and fitness, psychological, social, occupational (business), professional, and legal.
Based on the monitoring of information on therapeutic methods and the results of practical activities of rehabilitation institutions published on official websites and in the media, the author concludes that in the process of complex rehabilitation of military servants, adaptive and compensatory approaches, individual and group forms, as well as various health practices are used.
To summarize, positive organizational trends include: 1) the combination of various methods in the rehabilitation process, the creation of own methods of health practices to increase the effectiveness of the process of human recovery and achieve the overall goal of rehabilitation; 2) cooperation of various offices, rehabilitation facilities, public associations, volunteers in the provision of rehabilitation assistance in various areas.
In general, the leading methods of psychological and social rehabilitation of military servants include the following: psychotherapy; "friendly" and "family" rehabilitation; art therapy; psychogymnastics; natural psychotherapy; animal-assisted therapy (rehabilitation methods based on interaction with animals (horses, dogs, cats, rabbits, bees, frets, giant tarantulas, etc).
