The article considers the problem of the formation of management mechanisms for the implementation of police functions by executive authorities. The primary classification of types and functions of police activity of executive authorities from the standpoint of classical administrative law is provided.
The scientific article is devoted to a comprehensive study of issues of police activity in Ukraine. The main areas of administrative and legal regulation of police activity in Ukraine have been studied. The organizational principles of police activity from the standpoint of the science of administrative law are determined. An assessment of the interaction of public administration bodies in the sphere of ensuring public safety is given. New approaches to public and state control over the activities of law enforcement agencies have been formulated. The main criteria for the implementation of the positive experience of evaluating the effectiveness of managerial activities in the field of management in the activities of executive authorities have been developed. The elements of decision-making functions by officials will be systematized and the categoryof decision-making algorithms will be established. Further directions of research on the methodology of evaluating the results of the management of the executive body are established.
