The article analyzes legal information as an element of the system of legal influence. Attention is paid to the analysis of the concept and types of legal information.
The modern legal system cannot be imagined without the creation, exchange and use of legal information. The full cycle of legal development - from legal consciousness to legal implementation - includes the perception, creation, change and exchange of legal information. The specified processes are reflected in the consciousness of the individual and, as a result, are embodied in his specific legal acts. And the legal information contained in the text of the legal norm, after being realized by the person, becomes an effective force that manages and directs the subject's behavior. If an individual decides to follow the rule laid down in the legal norm, his behavior becomes socially correct, i.e. lawful, if he violates the norm, then the behavior becomes illegal. This happens as a result of exposure to legal information.
A new feature of legal information appears in the process of legal influence on society. It consists in the fact that legal information is contained in the structure of each element of legal influence. Thus, it can be argued that legal information constitutes a general framework, foundation on which legal influence based. This allows us to assert the internal unity of the elements involved in the process of legal influence on social relations.
The legal information environment is considered in the article not only as official texts of legal acts, but also as acts of implementation of the law, acts of interpretation, scientific materials, as well as data of a legal nature, which are exchanged by the subjects of legal relations during their interaction, as a result of which their behaviour is regulated.
