Human life is a valuable category, as through its prism it is evaluated the society as a whole and each person in particular as a good. Therefore, the human right to life is the basis of the humanistic foundations of the social organism. That is why the state must guarantee the realization of this right by every individual in the way of creating conditions for a dignified and safe existence of citizens and the necessary level of legal protection. Scientifik work is devoted to the analysis of the crime provided by article 120 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The problematic aspects contained in the disposition of this article and the need to improve the current law on criminal liability are identified. The ways of committing this crime are analyzed.
The relevance of this work lies in the negative practice of realizing responsibility for committing suicide, as the methods of committing suicide change and improve over time, which leads to an increase in the number of suicides in society, and the number of prosecutions for this increases every year. The problem of the topic is traced to the incompleteness of the provision of artic. 120 set out in the current Criminal Code of Ukraine, even after the changes, the number of proven accusations did not increase, the qualification of this crime was not eased, which leads to the avoidance of responsibility, by the persons responsible for the deaths.
The problem can be solved by detailing the composition of the crime of "leading to suicide", in particular, an extensive interpretation of "other actions that contribute to the commission of suicide", in order to improve the indicators of bringing perpetrators to justice, facilitate the work of law enforcement officers and improve the psychological health of society, especially people , who had attempted suicide, due to an attempt to lead to suicide - this is the purpose of the scientific work.
