The article announces some forensic and legal recommendations on the most acceptable and effective methods and means of collecting and legal accumulation of biometric data (biological samples of humans, traces of humans of biological origin) in order to ensure their suitability for further investigation and criminal registration.
Possibilities of using digital technologies during the collection, processing and analysis of human genomic information (in accordance with legal regulations) in the divisions of the Expert Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine are revealed.
Forensic aspects of the collection and accumulation of traces of biological origin are, first of all, to determine the recommendations on the most acceptable and effective methods and means of finding traces of biological origin, their fixation and removal to ensure their suitability for further investigation and criminal registration. Thus, the main requirements for the collection of biological traces of a person in criminal proceedings are: the identification of objects on which traces of biological origin are presumed takes into account the mechanism of committing a specific criminal offense, in particular, special attention is paid to places of physical contact. items at the scene.
Automated accounting of human genetic traits operates at the central and regional levels and is conducted respectively in the State Research Forensic Center and the Territorial Research Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. Accounting for human genetic traits consists of operational search collections, which are formed from DNA profiles: persons suspected or accused of committing crimes taken into custody, convicted in the case of their voluntary consent; biological traces seized during the inspection of the scene, including the facts of missing persons, other investigative actions and operational and investigative measures; unidentified corpses.
