АКТУАЛЬНІ АСПЕКТИ ЮРИДИЧНОЇ ВІДПОВІДАЛЬНОСТІ ЩОДО ПОРУШЕННЯ ЧИННОГО ЗАКОНОДАВСТВА ПРО ДЕРЖАВНУ МОВУ

Abstract

The Ukrainian language reflects the identity of the multimillion Ukrainian people as a way of communication and intellectual expression of personality. It is basis of its spirituality and historical memory.

The restored independent Ukraine inherited a distorted language situation as a result of the assimilation of Ukrainians. In the past, the linguistic and cultural identity of Ukrainians was destroyed under the slogans of struggle against "Little Russian separatism" and "Ukrainian bourgeois nationalism". Natural desire to preserve the Ukrainian language was considered as a manifestation of state independence.

The current situation with the Ukrainian language is a result of the widespread use of coercion. This method was aimed for imposing restrictions on usage of the Ukrainian language in order to gradually displace it from all spheres of public life. 

The Ukrainian state language is the only one (unified) on the whole territory of Ukraine, it necessarily extends to all branches of state power, local self-government, as well as other public spheres life.

According to the current legislation, all enterprises, institutions and organizations of all forms of ownership and entrepreneurs must use the Ukrainian language. Businesses are also required by law to provide consumers with information about their products, works or services in the state language. Information on price tags, instructions, technical characteristics, markings, tickets, menus, etc. must be provided in the state language. In addition, e-commerce entities registered in Ukraine will now be required to ensure that all information specified by law, including the subject of the electronic contract, is provided in the state language.

According to the current legislation, every citizen of Ukraine is obliged to speak the Ukrainian language. The opportunity to study the state language is provided through all educational institutions and free courses.

When appointed to a senior management position, civil servants are required to confirm their level of Ukrainian language proficiency.

Let's take care of the purity of the Ukrainian language! Use it in everyday life, as well as at all levels of state power. Students of foreign countries study our melodic language with pleasure, sing our Ukrainian folk songs, read poetry of our famous writers.

Many business language books appeared in independent Ukraine. They became a suitable addition to the official business topics, enriched the business language with modern terms, samples of new documents.

In an independent state, the Ukrainian language is the state language. It confidently integrated to the daily communication of the great, wise and proud Ukrainian people. This is a great linguistic victory.
